More on GREAT PLANS - our PHILOSOPHY and APPROACH

We recommend weaving each of the following components into your planning process:
  • CONTENT ANALYSIS of all related plans and critical documents - building on the best thinking and momentum to date

  • KEY INFORMANT INTERVIEWS an opportunity for critical stakeholders to bring insight, objectivity and fresh thinking to bear on the process  -  to discretely identify the REAL ISSUES that might be missed in a diplomatic workshop environment

  • ENVIRONMENTAL SCAN  -  an objective and creative search for issues, trends, forces and policy shifts that could dramatically affect the organization and/or its services (SWOT)

  • CURRENT SERVICE REVIEW analysis of the way you currently do business with an initial exploration of issues and alternatives (rationale, key services, resources allocated, cost drivers, performance measures, alternative delivery mechanisms, key issues

  • The ADVANCE  (We don't do retreats!)  -  a reflective and creative opportunity to develop a strong sense of organizational focus (vision, mission, key outcomes, brand pyramid, core business definition), refine operating philosophy and values, and establish strategic priorities

  • STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT - informed teams refine visionary outcomes for each priority, develop powerful strategies and interventions, and define the indicators that will be used to monitor progress (logic model for each strategic priority)

  • FINANCIAL PLANNING/MODELING the 'reality therapy' stage of identifying related costs and funding sources and projecting budgets over the life of the plan.

Our planning processes challenge organization's and their leaders to look for and move aggressively towards a better way of doing business.  We encourage transformational leadership - the skills, tools and support to define a preferred future and make it become reality.
